hove – day 1

Yesterday was absolutely amazing. Sang my throat sore, danced my feet to the bottom of no return and was so sweaty and smelly after jumping up and down for hours that I am amazed people stuck with me through-out the evening.

The day started with BBQ and then KAKKMADDAFAKKA. My absolute favorite band from Bergen made me dance, jump and sing (like they always do) and were the crowd pleasers they’re known to be. Like always, the concert ended too soon, which gave me some time to breath and gather up my strength again. Like I told Marita, this could have been the only concert I’d gone to that day, and I would still be more than pleased with the day’s activities.

Went back to the camp to eat over-synthetic candy (those watermelon slices were SICK – in a good way) and get our energy levels refilled before it was time for Alexisonfire and then Paramore. Didn’t really get any good photos, because I was to busy just chillin’ around and looking cool.

Kine found a cowboy hat by the road. We felt it fitted my outfit perfectly, so I got to borrow it for a couple of hours. And what an ice breaker, EVERYONE talks to the girl in the cowboy hat, it’s just the way of the world or something. I felt so cool.

And then Muse entered the stage and I lost all control and fooled all the people in a 10 meter radius to believe I was a crazy drunk by trying to head bang and jump up&down at the same time. (Note to self: it doesn’t work). Sang till I couldn’t sing no more, screamed until my voice had the sound of a crow and then it was over.

Finished the day off with Empire of the Sun, danced my already sore feet to bloody pulps, then limped back to the car and drove home. Longest 1 hour drive I ever had. Was so hungry my stomach screamed for food, and all the gas stations we passed were closed. I thought gas stations were supposed to be open 24/7? Apparently not.

Well, today I am going back to Arendal, and staying there for the remainder of the week-end. So I need to pack-pack-pack. BTW, thanks to all of you who came up to me to say hello, hug me or take pictures, I felt quite out-of-place and my friends believe I am some sort of celebrity now. Which is something I can live with as long as they allow me to be a diva about it. But yeah, thank you!
