Planning for fall

watch-150831-3

It’s raining cats and dogs and a couple of oceans of water outside today, but luckily I have no plans of leaving my bed to venture out into the flood and so I’m happily snuggled up inside watching Korean dramas (guilty pleasure!). The temperature has been hot and humid the last seven days, so it was only a matter of time before the skies would open and give one last gush of water before we can enter my favorite Seoul-season: the dry and comfy, but still fairly warm, autumn.

I’ve finished my first week of classes, shopped around for exciting lectures and dropped the confusing or dreadfully boring ones. I’ve bought new notebooks, an activity that never fails to make me absurdly exited about going to class, and I’ve also lost my wallet. Hopefully Seoul will prove to be awesome and have it returned to me somehow. Stranger things have happened!

I’ve also been planning the next semester, which promises trips to China and Japan, as well as day and weekend trips to explore Korea. This fall my ultimate goal is to travel to Seoraksan National Park to hike Gongnyongneungseon (Dinosaur Ridge). A 19 kilometer trip rumored to take the average hiker 14 hours to complete. It makes my adrenaline pump just thinking about it!

What are your plans for the fall?

  • I love your blog… Your writing style is really enjoyable to read. Oh and the phonecase and watch are awesome, where did you get those?

    • Thank you, I’m also a fan of them! The phone case I got at a booth here in Seoul, but the watch is from Triwa (www.triwa.com). I lost my old one, which was my favorite watch for years, but my mum got me a new one this summer (best mum ever). :)

  • Enda en grunn for at jeg må komme meg tilbake til Korea med litt tid til overs – dinosaur ridge! Gleder meg til å se de uten tvil utrolige bildene som kommer etter at du har vært der.
