Yesterday we travelled to Busan in the south of Korea to celebrated the 17th of May with over 500 Norwegians who live, work and/or study in the country. Cue flags, traditional costumes, singing, marching bands and Norwegian food (waffles!). This is my second time to Busan, and the first that involved summer and warm weather, and I’m already wishing for a return trip in the near future. Even with arms are so sunburnt it’s not even funny, the sun is apparently a lot stronger in the south than in Seoul.
For all of my Norwegian readers: Gratulerer med dagen (på etterskudd)! To you non-Norwegian people: You haven’t really experienced Norway or Norwegian culture until you’ve seen us celebrate the 17th of May, also known as our constitutional day.
