Christmas this year was celebrated at my grandmother’s, which meant that most of the traditional Christmas decorations were gathered at her apartment, including the Christmas tree. To compromise and still bring the Christmas spirit to our living room, my mum put up this tiny tree with lights and a super-sized star in the window sill. In a way it reminds me of the trees poor people have in old Disney movies (like Mickey’s family in A Christmas Charol, pre-Scrooge invasion). In a good way.
The Starbucks cup was one of two that I brought with me from Seattle – and the original Starbucks coffeeshop in Pike Place Market – as a Christmas gift for my mum. Love how ugly their original logo was, so ugly it’s beautiful. Almost.
