Drove up to Waialua on the North Shore today to find the not-so-secret sunflower field they entertain there. After two hours of aimlessly searching every part of Waialua and asking any locals we could find, we drove up behind the local high school and found this. Apparently they were cut down two weeks ago.
For those of you who do not know, I am a huge fan of sunflowers. They’re big, bulky and tough, but also very beautiful. Two year’s ago we came across the most amazing sunflower patches in Hungary, and ever since I’ve been craving a new encounter. Will have to watch for news on when they will bloom again. Counting the days!
The sunflowers are up again :)
Angela, mahalo! :)
