On one of our days off during Swiss O-week, my sisters, my dad and I drove to the outskirts of Flims and ventured up a path through the forrest that covered the hillsides around town, until we reached a steep cliff rising into the sky above us. Lodged into the side of the cliff was a multitude of iron rungs, pegs and ladders, making up a type of climbing route called via ferrata (from Italian, “iron road”). The most fun I’ve had in a long while!
