We’re fifteen days into the new year and the talk of New Year’s resolutions have started to die down, both in the media and on Facebook. I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions (I usually forget about them come day 7 of 365), but I do like goals, and lists. As a result of this, and lots of free time, I’ve set up a list of (realistic) goals for the coming year. Things I want to achieve, do, see and feel. My life revolves around lists: lists of deadlines, list of ideas, shopping lists, packing lists, homework lists. I think the only way I can actually achieve most things in my life, or at least remember that I’m supposed to try to achieve them, is by writing it down. So here’s my 2016-list of things that will make me feel happier, smarter, cooler or simply amazing. Mindfulness and such things.
- Sleep under the stars
- Don’t complain about anything for a week
Watch the sunrise and sunset in the same day- Read 25 books
- Reach level 2 in Korean
- Donate blood
Do some kind of volunteer work(ANSA does not count)- Build a snowman
- Go hiking in at least 4 different countries:
Done: Taiwan, Korea, Norway, Sweden, Japan & Hong Kong - Write a short story
Learn how to cook a new delicious meal- Host a dinner party and serve said delicious meal
- Visit 5 different museums in Seoul (3 down, 2 to go)
Say yes to something I would not normally do- Ride a camel
- Go camping
- Watch an Elvis movie
- Complete 50 push-ups in one go
- Take a free online class
- Learn to identify 10 constellations
- Attend a ballet class (for nostalgia’s sake)
- Read War & Peace, by Tolstoy <– started reading it, doubt I’ll finish it before 2017
Win something- Continue to take one photo every day (like I did in 2015)
- Find the perfect pair of ballet flats
Important to end it on a purely superficial level! Especially considering I’ve been searching for the perfect flats for over 4 years. I can be picky sometimes.
What are your 2016-goals?
Do you wanna build a snowmaaaaaaaan!? :D Snør som bare søren i Oslo nå! ;)
Greit med snø i KRS, men kan være jeg skal komme inn igjen bare for å lage snømann!
What a beautiful list. Worth of this blog.

Although I like yours better.
I really like yours! Especially the points about making your bed every day and getting facials. Its often the little things that make the weekdays better!
Wow! Watching at least one Elvis movie is also on my list this year. What a coincidence!
